The Role
You will be planning, leading and evaluating learning activities with a focus on personal and emotional development. Your lessons will target the individual needs of each student. You will deploy teaching assistants appropriately and support their professional development. You will also provide ongoing support to students who are on work placements.
Main Responsibilities
-Lesson planning
-Marking
-Evaluate and adapt lessons according to individual needs
-Prepare learning resources
-Deploy teaching assistants
-Write progress reports
-Feedback to senior leadership team and parents/carers
-Follow the guidance of external professionals
-Liaise with work placement contacts
Essential Criteria
-Degree Qualification (Level 6)
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-Understanding of SEND Code of Practice
Desirable Criteria
-Additional SEND qualification(s)
-Prior experience in a specialist provision
