I'm currently working with a regular client of Randstad's who are seeking an embedded software engineer to become a key member, and leader, within the automotive side of their engineering team.

In this role, you will be required to contribute to the development of embedded software for a new project within the automotive sector. Additionally, you will be required to contribute to various codebases, tools, and processes within the wider embedded team.

Ideally looking for 2-4 years experience although recent graduates will be considered. This role will be based in their Central Bristol office so you should be in a commutable distance to the office or be planning to relocate before the start date.

Essential skill-set required;

  • Embedded programming experience
  • Proven ability to develop and debug embedded software
  • Familiar with software version control systems
  • An understanding of embedded systems using microcontrollers and their peripherals
  • An understanding of electronics and other subject areas relevant to embedded system
  • Experience using C++ in an embedded environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and test embedded software for a new product in the automotive sector.
  • Implement and support test scripts and process automations.
  • Work with the product verification team during hardware bring up and initial testing.
