Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer with strong SQL skills?

Our client is a fast-growing, technology-based business who are a market leader in the provision of energy data and services. They have been established for over 40 years and as a business, they currently have over 3.5k customers and employ over 300 people.

They are looking to recruit a highly technical IT Support Engineer to join the team at their Bristol office.

You will be joining a busy team who are responsible for installing and maintaining a new generation of Smart Meters across the UK - clever technology that enables a range of businesses to manage their energy use.

Salary: £33,000 to £35,000

Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Bristol

The role

Supporting their in-house systems and offering technical support to the in house teams, this includes raising bugs to the development team and documenting and actioning workarounds and known errors until they are fixed. A strong SQL background is needed to be able to manipulate and update internal databases where errors occur.

  • Liaise with the Development team when required to help resolve technical support issues.
  • Work with Development to support system upgrades and system improvements.
  • Liaise with Project Delivery and Support to keep the customer informed of project progress where appropriate
