We are currently seeking a Real Estate Disputes Lawyer to join a top-tier and top-ranked Real Estate Disputes team. Our client is an organisation that represents a diverse range of commercial businesses, institutions, landed estates, and individuals in all real estate and property disputes. With over 20 dedicated Real Estate Disputes lawyers spread across 13 offices, our client's team in Bristol is led by a highly ranked Partner in Chambers and Partners 2024. They specialise in cases involving the Electronic Communications Code and have a strong practise in retail, development, and the public sector.

The Legal 500 recognised team regularly advises Public Bodies, corporate occupiers, investors/landlords and residential and commercial developers in property issues including telecoms, disputed break clause cases, rights of light, breach of covenant claims, public and private rights of way, misrepresentation/breach of contract, frustration and option disputes as well as all types of commercial landlord and tenant issues.

As a Real Estate Disputes Lawyer, you will be based in our client's newly relocated office situated in Bristol. Ideally, you will have at least 1+ PQE (post qualified experience) and will work alongside the team leader on complex matters, as well as independently handling your own cases. While experience in the Telecommunications sector and knowledge of the Electronic Communications Code are welcomed, they are not essential requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of client matters in accordance with the firm's standards and the SRA Code of Conduct.
  • Provide an exemplary level of client service and care.
  • Demonstrate competent financial management and commercial awareness, including accurate time recording, billing, and achievement of firm delivered targets.
  • Contribute actively to business development opportunities to retain existing clients and expand the organisation's business.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical expertise at all times.
  • Be accountable for personal development and continuously develop interpersonal and soft skills.
  • Ensure competence in accordance with the SRA competence standards.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required.

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Directly relevant previous experience with the correct level of post qualified experience (PQE).
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industry and business of our client.
  • Proven track record of competent financial management, ability to meet client expectations, and sound case management skills.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including experience with case management systems, electronic time recording, and general Microsoft packages.
  • Self-starting and friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Consistently demonstrate and embody the values of our client's organisation.
