JE104 - Commercial Catering EngineerLocation: Bristol Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Commercial Catering Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct servicing of commercial catering equipment to an industry leading standard in line with company checklists and manufacturers’ specifications and legislation, including PAT, gas and safety tests.
  • Undertake fault resolution of commercial catering equipment such as sourcing and replacing parts, testing and commissioning.
  • Undertake modifications to commercial catering equipment so it is fit for rental use
  • Ensure all equipment service records, customer visits and time sheets are logged to company standard
  • Offer excellent customer service by providing information and guidance to customers on equipment use, in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with company health and safety procedures and any incidents, near misses or hazards are reported in the appropriate time frames
  • Assist with management of the spares stores including monitoring stock levels, stock taking and replenishment.
  • Offer excellent internal customer service to enable other departments to operate to the best of their ability
  • Travel to customer sites to conduct gas and plumbing installations and derigs, complying to customer and company rules acting as the customer facing ambassador for the company
  • Work on your personal development and training needs with support from your line manager and colleagues
  • Support the training and development of colleagues and deputise for your line manager when required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Gas safe commercial catering qualified, with LPG conversion, Comcat 1, 3 & 5
  • Experience of working electrical equipment including knowledge of the principles of electricity, systems and circuits including earth bonding and electrical safety testing
  • Experience in planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate well with clients both on site and over the phone
  • An ability to work in a team with the ability to mentor other members of staff, with a wide ranging level of skills and experience
  • Adaptable and able to respond to unforeseen circumstances, improvised environment or time challenged conditions.
  • Resilient under pressure and can work independently
  • Reliable, acts with integrity, meticulous and trustworthy
  • A full UK drivers licence
  • CSCS card
  • Welding experience

Location: Bristol Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum
