Your new roleSenior Support Worker you will be working as part of a Women's only division specialising in meeting the needs of individuals living with complex post traumatic stress disorder and/or personality disorder. The main focus is on the self management of risk and the maximisation of personal independence.Attend meetings with or on behalf of service users and liaise with external agencies whilst developing and maintaining an understanding of the mental health act.路 Conduct crisis mitigation and resolution work.路 Contribute to placement reviews.What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous significant experience working with people with mental health needs including support planning and assessing risk.
  • Previous experience of providing peer support and supervision.
  • Experience providing practical and emotional support that has enabled service users to achieve defined objectives around recovery, taking responsibility and progressing towards more independent living.
  • Have a knowledge of the contracts and funding packages of your caseload.
  • It would be preferred if you had a full UK driving licence and be able to drive company vehicles.
  • You will have a strong background within the mental health sector specifically with clients with complex needs.
  • You will have a strong understanding of positive risk and safeguarding.
  • You will be patient, resilient, punctual, approachable, and responsible within the workplace and able to communicate at all levels.
