Key Responsibilities:As a Registered Nurse, you play a crucial role in supporting the care team and senior management, aligning with our Vision to create a strong and nurturing family environment. This involves building respectful relationships among residents and staff, fostering feelings of security, contentment, and a sense of belonging. The Senior Nurse assists in implementing and monitoring systems to ensure the safe and effective running of the home, compliance with NMC and CQC registration requirements, and meeting best practice, regulatory, and legal standards in the absence of the home manager.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Deliver high-quality care and services while maintaining a nurturing, open, fair, and transparent culture.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with key organizations such as CQC, local authority, CCG's, safeguarding teams, etc., through open communication and mutual trust.
  • Work responsively to provide residents with maximum choice and control over their lives and healthcare needs.
  • Assist with the effective management of clinical and care provisions, promoting good outcomes, a high quality of life, and adherence to best practice guidelines.
  • Maintain a caring culture, motivating staff to treat residents with compassion, kindness, dignity, and respect at all times.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:We are looking for experience in some or all of the following areas:

  • Qualification
  • Work Experience: Post-registration experience is preferred, but newly registered nurses are welcome and supported in fulfilling this role.
  • Expertise in elderly care and dementia care would be advantageous.
  • Ability to take charge of a shift.
