Exciting Opportunity: Receptionist/Optical Assistant Needed in Brockenhurst, Hampshire!

Our client, an independent, family-owned opticians with three branches, is seeking a dedicated Receptionist/Optical Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis at their Brockenhurst location.

Role: Receptionist/Optical Assistant
Location: Brokenhurst, Hampshire
Salary: 12 - 12.50 per hour (37 hours per week)
Opening Hours:
Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00
Saturday 09:00 - 16:30
Working Pattern: 5 days per week to include Saturdays (1 in 4 Saturdays off!)


Role Overview:


As a Receptionist you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our client's valued customers. Your responsibilities will include:

Handling incoming phone calls and enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Managing appointments and maintaining the appointment diary accurately.
Assisting with order placements for lenses, frames, and other optical products.
Welcoming customers warmly and ensuring their needs are met.
Providing support with frame selection and offering advice on optical products when required.
Undertaking administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a customer service role is desirable.
Knowledge of optics and experience in an optical setting would be advantageous.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.
