- Provide tailored one-to-one support to the child, implementing personalized learning strategies and activities.
- Assist with communication using alternative methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the child's sensory needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
- Monitor progress, provide regular feedback, and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Previous experience working with children with complex needs is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of alternative communication methods and strategies.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are desirable.
