Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing distribution business based in Hull in the search for a Production Team Leader.

The ideal Production Team Leader would be responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in all operations relating to the running of the fast-paced production environment. The Production Team Leader must maintain strong working relationships with the operational teams along with the Warehouse office staff and fulfilment Operatives and assist with overseeing the day-to-day operation of the fulfilment warehouse. The Production Team Leader will have first-hand involvement in the control and use of the warehouse facilities and staff ensuring the efficient and safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills and attention to detail.
  • Plan and coordinate daily activities
  • Organise, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals
  • Proficient with data entry, record keeping and inventory software systems
  • Overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing and sometimes delivering items
  • Optimising current warehouse processes and creating new ones where necessary, for continuous improvement and in order to increase warehouse productivity
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with H & S regs
  • Lead follow up and resolve customer concerns

Person Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Sound knowledge of warehouse ops
  • Familiarity with safety regs
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data and identify trends in order to drive continuous improvement
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to keep records up to date with particular attention to detail
  • Clear and straightforward communicator with team members and customers
  • Shows initiative and can evaluate or comment on business progress and the “bigger picture”
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel and stock management software
