Position: Test Engineer

Location: Buckingham

Hours - Mon - Friday Standard Hours

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Buckingham

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to secure a Diagnostics & Repair Technician to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Responsibilities:

• Active involvement across all product testing phases, from research and development to product release.
• Efficiently prioritize and manage workload to meet project deadlines.
• Develop and utilize software, firmware, and hardware testing tools effectively.
• Create and execute comprehensive product testing plans and strategies.
• Identify and enhance testing tools and processes to improve efficiency.
• Contribute insights to project planning and decision-making processes.
• Maintain accurate product test sheets and documentation.

Experience Requirements:

• Hold an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate a logical troubleshooting approach and meticulous attention to detail.
• Exhibit automotive domain knowledge and practical experience.
• Proficient in utilizing hardware testing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and multimeters.
• Embrace a positive attitude and excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Hold a full, clean UK driving license.
• Must reside within a commutable distance of Buckingham.
• Exposure to GPS and automotive-based technologies.
• Understanding of various testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Experience with both manual and automated software testing techniques.
• Proficiency in programming, with a focus on Python.
