Assistant Accountant

£32-35,000 (£16.41 - 18.00per hour
6 Month Temporary Contract
Do you have experience in accounting and are you looking for a role in North Devon? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a growing market leader, covering their day-to-day finances and preparation of management accounts. As the Assistant Accountant you'll be an integral part of our client's finance function, working closely with the financial controller to assist with day-to-day elements of the finance function.
The role:
- Journal postings
- Preparation of management accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Updating budgets and forecasts on a monthly basis.
- French VAT reporting
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Maintaining the fixed asset register & creating new assets.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of accounting
- Part qualified accountant (MAAT/CIMA/ACCA) or 2 years' experience of working at this level.
- Confident in using Excel
