Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a client we are collaborating with in Burgess Hill. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, demonstrating a strong background in designing control systems, panel design, and instrumentation for commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical control panels and systems using industry-standard software such as Solidworks Electrical and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Create detailed schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and layout designs.
- Specify and select components to ensure the highest quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for all design projects.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Proficiency in Solidworks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, and other relevant design software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Education:
- Preferably a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
