Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented professional with experience in mechanical component inspection? Our client, a reputable aerospace engineering company based in Burnley, is seeking a skilled Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role: Inspector
Location: Burnley
Salary: 35,000 per annum (including shift premium)
Shift Basis: Double Days - 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilisetraditional measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, & gaugesto conduct precise inspections of aerospace components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure components meet strict tolerance requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process to identify and address deviations from quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in compliance with industry regulations and quality assurance standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in component inspection using traditional measurement tools.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and quality control processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
