Consilium Recruit is exclusively partnering a leading manufacturing group to manage their recruitment of a Production Planning Manager. The company have won a number of significant long-term orders and have substantial growth plans and as a result have a new vacancy for a Production Planning Manager. Candidates are sought with proven experience leading production planning in a complex manufacturing or engineering environment.

Commutable from: Burnley, Blackburn, Manchester, Bolton, Rochdale, Bolton, Accrington, Bradford, Wigan.

Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for: Planning Manager, Production Planning Manager, Master Production Scheduler, Lead Production Planner, Production Controller.


The Role

Manage and deliver production plans and supply schedules in line with customer demand.

Responsible for the continuous improvements within the Planning function.

Manage the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning.

Work closely with Supply Chain Team to ensure production plans are supported by the material supplies and subcon processes.

Assist in the budget, financial planning, bidding and business case processes.

Own demand planning and order book management with Operations Team

Lead, mentor and develop the Planning team.

Monitor and maintain the accuracy of the planning parameters and master data.

Analyse and report on plan adherence, trends and forecasts.

Liaise and resolve any issues with internal and external customers regarding plans.

The Candidate

Degree qualified or relevant professional certification.

Proven experience of production and supply chain planning in a complex manufacturing environment.

Proven track record in end-to-end collaborative planning and forecasting.

Excellent working knowledge of MRP & ERP Systems.

Customer management experience.

Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning skills.

High level of attention to details and strong communication skills.
