Production Supervisor

We are currently on the lookout for Production Supervisor for our client based in Burnley.

This is a full-time position working from Monday-Friday 7am-5:30pm at a rate of pay is £14.00 per hour, rising to £14.40 after 12 weeks. 

The Production Supervisor will, under the immediate direction of the Production Co-Ordinator, operate within the Health and Safety Policies of our client ensuring Health, & Safety, Quality and Environment standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• To lead and motivate a Team of Operators to ensure all aspects of manufacturing operations are undertaken in a safe and efficient manner.
• Role model a safe working environment and encourage the Team to do likewise.
• Ensure required Quality checks are understood and completed to a high standard, dealing with and investigating any non-conformances in a proactive way to prevent risk of reoccurrence.
• Work with other Departments to share staff to maximize productivity across the Site, flexibility to support other operational
• Deliver efficiency targets (Daily, Weekly, Monthly), sharing how well we are doing with the Team and acting on their ideas to improve line performance.
• Deal with underperformance in a timely, fair and consistent manner providing support throughout. Where standards are not maintained, assume responsibility for addressing this, including raising the issue with your Production Co-Ordinator or manager.
• Ensure standards are met consistently in hygiene and general housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Good educational standards for English and Maths.
• Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels
• NVQ Supervisor level 3 or higher.
• ILM Supervisor level 3 or higher
• Experience of Leading a Team in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years Experience in Supervising and Co-Ordinating a Production Team in a FMCG environment.
• Basic administration knowledge.
