Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? If so, our client has an exciting opportunity for you to join their team as a Children's Residential Support Worker in Burton on Trent.

Our client is a reputable organization providing care and support to children and young people in a 4-bedded residential service. Their aim is to create a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people with EBD can thrive and reach their full potential.

Role Overview: As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with EBD. You will work closely with their dedicated team to create a supportive and enriching environment, promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the individuals in their care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day care and support to children and young people with EBD.
  • Implementing care plans and risk assessments in collaboration with the team.
  • Engaging in activities and therapeutic interventions to promote positive outcomes.
  • Supporting with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, and household chores.
  • Building positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or incidents as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with EBD is essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • A valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
  • Willingness to work on a shift pattern of 2 days on, followed by 4 off, including sleep-ins as required.
