Job Requirements of this Teaching Assistant job in Burton-on-Trent
- We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a team at an Ofsted rated Good school. The ideal candidate should have:
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN) aged 2 to 18.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Adaptability and resilience to meet the diverse needs of students and respond to changing situations.
Qualifications or Certificates:
- A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is required.
- Additional certifications in SEN support, safeguarding, or behaviour management are highly desirable.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children and young people with SEN across a wide age range (2 to 18 years) is preferred.
- Experience implementing individualised support plans and adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners is advantageous.
- Familiarity with working within a school environment and supporting classroom activities is beneficial.
