NXTGEN have a brilliant opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established, hugely successful and expanding business based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds. This Assistant accountant role is a brilliant opportunity for those who are looking to make the next step in their finance career, gaining experience in technical accounting and treasury. The Assistant Accountant will closely collaborate with the Working Capital Manager, offering support in Cash Management, Transactional responsibilities, and ensuring adherence to financial compliance standards

Key Responsibilities will include :

  • Aid in daily cash management and forecasting across Group entities.
  • Enhance cash flow reporting and analysis procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining bank mandates and other essential treasury administrative tasks.
  • Weekly analysis of debtors' ledgers across the Group.
  • Assist with the maintenance and audit of the Register of Delegated Authority.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX processes.
  • Other ad-hoc duties and project work as required.

The ideal candidates will hold a AAT qualification or will be in the early stages of ACCA/CIMA. You will be able to demonstrate their understanding of financial accounting through previous work experience or study. The employer can also offer study support to the right candidate in this position.

In this role you will need to be able to confidentially support and communicate with all stakeholders throughout the business, with a proactive approach and ability to work independently.
