Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Senior Tax Manager, the Tax Manager will be responsible for managing the corporate tax affairs of the group including tax reporting and R&D. Candidates with experience in corporation tax and ideally some exposure to in-direct taxes would suit this role either coming from a practice background or already in-house. Qualifications such as ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians), CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser), or ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) or similar would complement this. This really is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and optimise tax strategies to support the company's growth objectives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of tax compliance, including the review and some filing of corporation tax and VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, providing tax advice and support on various business initiatives to optimise tax efficiency and SAO reporting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities and support the company's financial objectives.
  • Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations, communicating potential implications and advising on appropriate actions.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors, ensuring effective communication and timely completion of tax-related projects.
  • Support the Senior Tax Manager in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
  • Support and develop the existing tax accountant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; professional qualifications such as ATT, CTA, or ACA highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in tax advisory, compliance and planning, ideally with a focus on corporation tax and VAT.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
