The Logistics Manager responsibility is to manage their warehouse, production and transport. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the storage and distribution of goods, ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost.

Description

The Logistics Manager duties and responsibilities are:

  • Manage the entire logistics process from the storage and distribution of goods.
  • Plan routes and load scheduling for deliveries.
  • Track products through depots to ensure they arrive at their destination.
  • Oversee the order and delivery process to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Manage budgets and staffing in the logistics department.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with suppliers and customers.
  • Implement logistical strategies to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

Profile

A successful Logistics Manager should have:

  • Few years experience in a similar role within the logistics, supply chain, transport or distribution
  • Proven track record of managing a busy logistics operation
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in using logistics software
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to FORS standard is advantageous
