We are seeking an Office Manager for maternity cover, with the potential for extension to a permanent role. This full-time, office-based position Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership and organisational skills to manage the Service Team. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure our customer needs are met with 24/7 support.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Directly responsible for the operation of the Service Team, including Service Technicians/Engineers and Administrative staff.
  • Implement and drive the use of an electronic/App-based job allocation/job sheet control system.
  • Liaise daily with Sales/Aftersales/Installation teams for effective and timely customer support.
  • Manage the Service office systems, general administration, and H&S processes for the engineers.
  • Coordinate with the HR adviser on training needs and team reviews.
  • Review and prepare the Renewal of PMCs for the Area Sales Engineer.
  • Identify service/sales opportunities and promote new and existing service products.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills and good mathematics.
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and ideally experience with SAGE systems.
  • Experience in team management, people development, and working in a pressurised service environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to delegate, work on own initiative, and make decisions.
  • Desirable: Level 3 Business Administration or ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management or equivalent, engineering background, and knowledge of computerised job tracking process systems.
Benefits:
  • 20 days annual leave per annum, increasing to 25 days after 12 months (3 days reserved for business closure over Christmas/New Year).
