We specialise in providing prestige, showroom-condition cars from all makes and models, including brands such as Audi, BMW, Range Rover, Mercedes and Jaguar. With three showrooms located in Manchester, we boast the largest 4x4 Centre in the North-West, and have further expansion planned.

We have a strong approach to customer service and thanks to our recent growth, are looking for VHC Inspectors to join our growing team in the Bury area of Manchester.

The Role of our VHC Inspector:

A VHC inspector is responsible for performing thorough inspections of vehicles to assess their overall health and identify any potential issues or areas of concern. The primary goal is to ensure that vehicles are safe, reliable, and in optimal condition for customers, including:

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles using established procedures and guidelines.
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment, tools, and visual inspections to identify any mechanical, electrical, or cosmetic issues.
  • Document findings accurately and thoroughly, including noting any required repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate inspection results clearly and effectively to service advisors, technicians, and customers.
  • Provide recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance based on inspection findings, prioritising safety and vehicle longevity.
  • Collaborate with the service team to schedule and prioritise repairs and maintenance tasks based on urgency and customer needs.
  • Ensure that all inspections are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including proper handling and storage of tools and equipment.

What you’ll need as our VHC Inspector:

  • Previous experience in automotive repair, maintenance, or inspection preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle systems and components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection findings.
  • Time served recognised apprenticeship and recognised qualification - Level 3 Diploma / City & Guilds in vehicle mechanics or proven equivalent experience.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence (held for at least 3 years)
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc
  • The ability to work as part of a strong and well-established team

Working hours will be an average of 42 hours per week. You will be required to work Monday – Friday 08:30 -17:30 and alternate Saturdays. The shift on Saturday will be from 08:30 -12:30 although there will be the option to work one full Saturday in four weeks if preferred.
