Manufacturing Engineer - Cardiff

Manufacturing Engineer with electrical installation and PLC programming / design experience is required by global biotech / biomedical company.

The role is full time (37.5 hours / week) on site and will provide you the opportunity to take leadership on maintenance and improvement activities, create effective solutions that minimise cost and resource wastage.

The Manufacturing Engineer will have most of the following experience:

• 3+ years of experience working in engineering roles
• PLC Programming / Design experience (ideally with Siemens)
• Electrically qualified (preferably with 18th Edition)
• Experience / Knowledge of 5S Lean and HS&E practices
• Ability to understand and write engineering and schematic drawings / diagrams
• Experience operating workshop equipment (e.g. Milling Machines / Lathes)
• Experience with pneumatics - particularly for construction and maintenance of equipment

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity of existing manufacturing processes
• Design, Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and equipment to align with project specifications and safety standards
• Collaborating on the writing of essential documentation, particularly surrounding risk assessments and instructions to ensure safety standards are met
• Repairs and modifications to site facilities - including service installation and electrical wiring.
