Senior Finance Business Partner - Stirlingshire

Salary c£60k plus excellent benefits

Lusona is working exclusively with our client in the manufacturing sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Senior Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will provide reliable financial and management information to assist the Divisional Managing Director and Operations Managers with business decisions.

The Senior Finance Business Partner will work closely with the Operations team to develop an understanding of their projects, manage their WIP, and monitor business performance against budget.

The main remit will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts for each business, ensuring the results are analysed and interpreted to the highest standards to provide meaningful, relevant, and actionable information
  • Critically reviewing and challenging operational results to ensure completeness and accuracy of all information in line with company accounting and reporting policies
  • Working with Operations and Sales Teams to develop detailed bottom-up annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Periodically analysing contracts and jobs for profitability, reporting on any variances in budgets
  • Ensuring excellent cost control, and analytical monitoring of Service Centre costs monthly
  • Performing major contract, debt and WIP reviews across the business with the Central Finance Support team to ensure the integrity of the balance sheet and accurate revenue recognition
  • Reviewing new orders and contracts for profitability and risk in line with the approval matrix
  • Assisting the Managing Director and Operations Director with the interpretation of financial information so that any necessary corrective actions are quickly identified and implemented
  • Monitoring and reporting both strategic and operational initiatives with a focus on reducing costs, improving quality, and reducing lead times

Applicants must be fully Qualified, ACCA, CIMA, or ICAS, with previous experience of working in Industry and commerce. Previous experience of working in the Engineering or Manufacturing sectors would be an added advantage.

Applicants must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and have excellent report-writing skills, to present comprehensive reports & analysis.
