A wonderful school situated in Camberley, dedicated to providing comprehensive education to a diverse student body, including those with a spectrum of mild needs such as Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD), and behavioural challenges (EBD), is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to become an integral part of their team.

Job Description

This position offers a rewarding opportunity for you to engage in a role focused on providing personalized assistance to students with diverse needs, whether it's helping them grasp new concepts, offering emotional support, or aiding in their daily activities.

You'll work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans, adapting teaching methods and resources to meet the individual needs of each student. Whether it's providing one-on-one support, facilitating group activities, or assisting with classroom management, your positivity and passion will shine through in everything you do. Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people. Patience, empathy, and creativity are your greatest tools as you support students not only academically but also in nurturing their social skills, independence, and self-confidence.

A clean DBS and prior experience with SEND children are essential for this role, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Previous relevant experience could include childcare, tutoring, nursery assistance, sports settings, or similar classroom environments. If needed, we can assist you with obtaining a DBS.

The Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
