Interim Group Accountant

Our client, a growing technology business based on the outskirts of Cambridge, has an urgent requirement for an interim Group Accountant. The role is being offered as a 6-9 month, fixed term contract and is required to provide additional capacity for the finance team.Working closely with both the Group Financial Accountant and the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for;* Month end and year end postings including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets* Balance sheet reconciliations* Dealing with auditor queries during interim and year end audit* Support with tax reporting responsibilities such as VAT & corporate tax* Build and use reporting from the ERP system and Adaptive Planning and Budgeting to provide business insights* Work with the management team as required during the budgeting and reforecasting process to ensure alignment around financial goals and objectives* Act as a key point of contact for finance and forecast related queriesThis is a varied role which would suit either someone who has recently qualified who is keen to learn, or alternatively, someone with more experience who would enjoy working as part of a high performing team.Interested candidates will be fully qualified - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent. You will have strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and have a continuous improvement mindset. Finally, candidates will possess a good working knowledge of international accounting standards.This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with two days per week in the office.
