Job Title: Field Application Engineer / Technical Project Manager

Our Client specializes in designing and supplying best-in-class, passive RFID fixed reader systems.

They continue to grow, backed by strategic investors they aim to become the global market leader. To achieve this, we are seeking a dynamic Pre-Sales Engineer/Project Manager. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing customer engagement, demonstrating our market-leading product, and driving financial growth.

Job Description:

As a Field Application Engineer / Technical Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to plan and manage customer trials, pilots, and demonstrations. These activities support the company's Business Development objectives. Your tasks will include:

  1. Introducing the System: You'll introduce our RFID system to customers, ensuring they understand its capabilities and benefits.
  2. Site Planning: Collaborate with customers to plan the physical layout of the system at their sites.
  3. Deployment Support: Assist customers during deployment and integration of the system.
  4. Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize the system's performance, analyzing results in detail.

Additionally, you'll work closely with our Engineering and Customer Experience teams. Your goal is to ensure that the product performance and functionality align with customer requirements. Whether in the lab or customer environments, you'll proactively investigate system optimization methods and take ownership of resolving specific challenges.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Degree or Equivalent: Preferably in a computing or scientific discipline.
  • Early Career Experience in Software Development: Demonstrated experience in software development during the early stages of your career.
  • Minimum of 5 Years' Experience in a Commercial Product Environment: Proven track record of working in a commercial product environment for at least 5 years.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage projects within a technical and field-based product environment.
  • Data Analysis: Practical knowledge and experience in data analysis.

Other Useful Skills:

  • Understanding of RF Systems: Familiarity with RF systems, including transmitters, receivers, antennas, and propagation.
  • Scripting Languages (e.g., Python): Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python.
  • IP Network Understanding: Knowledge of IP networks.
  • Desire for Continuous Learning: Eagerness to learn and understand customer system architecture.
