CNC Turner

The Role
- Operating CNC machinery, especially Doosan CNC Lathe, and if required CNC milling machine (training will be provided).
- Understanding and operating on Fanuc controls.
- CAM software experience - preferable Autodesk software but training will be provided.
- Turn and/or mill with all metals.
- Read schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets and process sheets.
- Perform maintenance when necessary.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
- Great working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will be a team player willing to turn their hand to almost any task in a science led production environment. You will need to be a problem solver with a range of practical skills and an energetic and positive approach to working life.
- Hands on process modification and mechanical works.
- Safety trained.
- Flexible: To deal with the changes required in a scale up business.
- Pragmatic: To be able to translate strategy and plans into tangible projects and progress on the ground.
- Collaborative: To allow good working relationships with external parties and internal support teams.
You will have experience in the following:
- Experience in the operation of CNC turning machinery, including Milling & Turning machinery (minimum 5 years).
- Production experience.
The following experience would be advantageous:
- CAD/CAM
- Manual machining
