About the Role

Cambridge based (4 days on-site, 1 remote)

We are looking for a meticulous and organised Document Controller to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our document control systems. You will be responsible for the creation, storage, retrieval, and distribution of all our documents, both electronic and physical. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with industry standards and ensuring everyone in the company has access to the information they need.

Responsibilities

  • Create, classify, and store documents in accordance with company procedures
  • Implement and maintain a document control system (electronic or physical)
  • Manage document revisions and ensure controlled distribution
  • Conduct document audits and identify areas for improvement
  • Respond to requests for documents from internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure clear and consistent documentation
  • Maintain document registers and filing systems
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of document control processes
  • Adhere to company data security policies and procedures

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a document control role
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Experience with document management systems (DMS) a plus
  • Understanding of document control principles and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
