SEN TA - EBD Setting KS3/4 - Cambridgeshire - Immediately

Are you passionate about making a real change and creating a positive impact in the lives of students with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties)?

Timeplan in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate EBD Teaching Assistant to join an experienced and supportive team in an EBD setting linked to a mainstream school (near Cambridge).

As an EBD Teaching Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to:

Provide Individualised support, while working closely with students with EBD, offering personalized care, support and guidance, using intervention strategies to help them manage their emotions, develop coping mechanisms, and helping them succeed academically.

Foster Positive Relationships while developing trust and supportive relationships with students, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they feel valued, understood, and empowered to overcome challenges.

Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to implement individualized behaviour plans, track progress, and provide holistic support to students with EBD.

Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour, reduce barriers to learning, and facilitate the social and emotional development of students with EBD.

Ideally you will have,

  • Previous experience working with students with EBD or other SEN is desirable but not essential.
  • Patience, resilience, and a calm demeanour.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to nurture positive relationships with students, colleagues, and their support network.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not strictly essential.
