Our client, a leading integrated wealth management and professional services group,Who offer an extensive range of financial and professional services to individuals, family trusts, professional intermediaries, charities and businesses, is seeking a Qualified Accountant for their Business Services team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manager a client portfolio - ensure that clients receive an efficient and proactive service and client expectations are exceeded throughout the year. Liaising with Clients, Partners, and colleagues
  • Completing management and statutory accounts, including related services, and setting budgets - awareness of commercial aspects of clients' business and impact on our work.Arrangement of timetable, booking of staff, planning and completion of management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns and other related assignments.
  • Business/Practice Development
  • Training and development - supervising junior staff members and ensuring feedback is given to staff on a timely basis. Ensuring appropriate in-house & on-the-job training received personally.
  • Client billing - attend to preparation of fee notes and fee covering letter for clients, in terms of the Business Outsourcing Services billing policy, for review by the relevant Associate Director, Director or Partner.
  • Assist the Managers with cash collection of outstanding debtors for clients in the portfolio
  • Review and prepare monthly and quarterly Management accounts & related files.
  • Prepare and review unaudited statutory accounts & related files.
  • Review iXBRL tagged accounts once prepared by members of the team.
  • Ensure work performed by members in our team is in accordance with the processes and procedures manuals in place for the various services.
  • Support managers within the team with various administrative tasks and projects that arise from time to time.
  • Work on more complex client activity.
  • Manage and finish bookings.
  • Start Portfolio Management.
  • Work with Senior Managers on larger client activity.

Qualifications and experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) or qualified by experience.
  • Significant Experience of management accounts, statutory accounts and VAT returns gained within a professional services environment.
  • Proven Experience of working with entrepreneurial, OMB and SME clients.
