The Role

The Fire Porter is an essential role within Clare College. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, responsibilities include being the first point of contact for all issues relating to fire safety and advising on fire safety best practice to all college members.

This role requires the post holder to work 22.5 hours per week. The working pattern is 3 days per week with one of these days being Thursday.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work for the second oldest of the 31 Colleges in the University of Cambridge. Clare’s Old Court, a Grade I listed building, is the centre of the College and is unique among the ancient Cambridge Colleges in having maintained its architectural integrity over the course of its history.
