Catering Assistant

Interaction recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a 2 x Catering Assistant on behalf of our client based in Cambridge.

1 @ - 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday 10:30am-2:30pm - £12,586

1 @ - 30 hours per week – Monday to Friday 8:00am-2:30pm - £18,800

The successful candidate will work in our clients in house canteen/restaurant, you will be responsible for the following:

• Work front-of-house, serving customers food, working on the till & cash handling.
• Customer focused at all times by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs.
• Assist with the day-to-day running of the Space Bar restaurant
• Help the Catering Manager and Chefs to get ready for service by preparing food
• Catering Assistants will be expected to peel, trim or wash food so it is ready to be cooked
• Make sandwiches, paninis and salads, and associated tasks, to a high standard
• Help produce food of an impeccable standard while adhering to health and safety regulations
• Kitchen cleaning, including but not limited to washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
• Ensure the highest level of cleanliness, including while working, is achieved in all catering work areas.

You will have experience within a Hospitality and Catering setting and a strong understanding of customer service
