Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join their busy but friendly team. Hybrid working is available with this role.

You will be working across a range of commercial and employment law matters - supporting fee earners by performing a variety of administrative duties, including drafting correspondence, answering phones, greeting visitors and communicating with fee earners and clients.

The role requires a team player with a professional manner who has a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

• Audio digital dictation and administration support for the team

• Transcribe and proofread letters, emails and correspondence and prepare legal documents

• Deal with administrative tasks as required to include scanning, printing, paginating, and photocopying - plus preparing bundles

• Under supervision, support the fee earners with accounting and billing processes

• Be involved in the efficient management of client/matter files to include general filing, file opening, ID checks, preparation of client care letters and terms and conditions, file closure and archiving

• Make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain manager/fee earners diary as required

• Attend clients both in person and on the telephone, ensuring the confidentiality at all times

• Deal with post & DX for the team

• Manage meeting rooms, refreshments and other requirements for fee earners

• Complete expenses and mileage claims for fee earners

• Provide general administrative support for the team with business development events and activities

Requirements

• Previous experience as a legal secretary is desirable but not essential as training is provided

• Be able to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• High attention to detail

• High computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office

• Fast and accurate keyboard skills

• Adaptability and pro-active in approach to work

• Experience of digital dictation desirable
