JOB- Senior Mechanical EngineerLOCATION- CambridgeTERM- PermanentSALARY- £45,000 to £65,000 per annum (plus benefits)My client is a pioneering designer and manufacturer of technological products going into the consumer electronics market. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work in their offices in Cambridge. The Senior Mechanical Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes:

5+ Years of Mechanical Design Engineering Experience
Experience in R&D
Mechanical Engineering Degree, or a related Degree
Excellent 3D CAD skills (Ideally SolidWorks)
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team - being able to make decisions and, occasionally, lead effectively
Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Be keen to develop with a company long term
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

The Senior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

Working within the current engineering team
Producing new product concepts
Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
Producing 3D designs and FEA models using CAD software
Generating the BOM’s to go with the associated designs
Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
