Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 per annum

Location: near Cambourne (own transport required)

Type: Permanent - office based only

Our client is a family-run business who specialise in industrial installations, refurbishment, and new build services. They are looking for an Office Administrator they can train and nurture. However, you will need some office experience and your own transport due to the location.

Once trained the role will include the following:

  • Answering and directing telephone calls
  • Liaising with customers both over the phone and via email.
  • General office filing
  • Keeping current project and drawing files up to date
  • Assisting all various departments as required
  • Ensure records for all subcontractors are kept up to date including insurances, certificates, and company registration forms.
  • Keeping up-to-date log of employee & subcontractors training certifications, keeping the Director up to date with any training requirements, actions etc.
  • Compiling Operations & Manuals for all main contract projects
  • Assisting with renewal of H & S accreditation's such as CHAS, SMAS and Constructionline
  • Distribution of post
  • Updating the website with new case studies and making minor amendments where required.
  • Be responsible for social media marketing (setting up and maintaining a LinkedIncompany account).
  • Placing orders for hire equipment and keeping hired goods spreadsheet up to date.
  • Maintaining a clean & tidy Kitchen area. Maintain stationery levels/office consumables.

The successful candidate: -

  • Previous experience of working within the Construction Industry desirable but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (365)
  • Able to prioritise workload and deadline oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team - very important.
  • Must be proactive and able to use own initiative.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and driven, with a can-do attitude.
  • Willing to learn develop.
