Position: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: A competitive salary of up to£65k per year

Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their esteemed team. This pivotal role focuses on the financial management of groundworks and civil engineering projects within the housing, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed quantity surveying and cost estimation for groundworks and civil engineering projects.

- Oversee project finances from inception to completion, including the preparation of tender documents and final accounts.

- Utilize accurate measurement techniques to assess and value work progress, ensuring alignment with project financial targets.

- Manage resource allocation and material procurement in line with project demands.

- Effectively manage subcontractors to maintain cost-efficiency and uphold the highest professional standards.

- Act as the primary financial liaison between production teams and clients, ensuring clear communication of project objectives and financial status.

- Collaborate closely with client commercial teams, attending site meetings and contributing to project discussions.

- Handle subcontract inquiries and quotations, focusing on precision and value.

- Manage contract variations, maintaining oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

- Prepare and finalize project invoices and accounts with meticulous attention to detail.

- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and stakeholders, enhancing business reputation and reliability.

- Proactively identify and pursue new tender opportunities to drive business growth.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience in quantity surveying, specifically in groundworks and civil engineering, ideally within housing developments.

- Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

- Familiarity with various contract forms, particularly JCT contracts.

- Proficiency in essential software and documentation tools such as Excel, Adobe, and Bluebeam.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to commercial documentation detail.

- Self-motivated and autonomous, capable of driving results and managing complex project demands.

- Strong commercial awareness with a solid track record in delivering successful projects within the targeted sectors.
