Reed are working with a highly regarded Supported Housing provider who are looking for an Accommodation Manager to oversee the running of their Central Cambridge service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed housing support services to young people.

The successful candidate will lead and develop a staff team, implement organisational policies, and build internal and external partnerships to create a forward-thinking service.

Accommodation Manager

  • Full-time, Mon- Fri 0830-1700
  • £34,325.49 per annum

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Deliver a trauma-informed support programme to empower young people for independent living.
  • Manage Housing-related Support contracts and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Lead on data quality for client systems, including data entry and audits.
  • Develop bids and tenders as required and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and professional partners.
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the site and make necessary referrals.
  • Manage service budgets and ensure accurate records of support hours and placement costings.
  • Monitor data dashboards for quality assurance and conduct regular audits.
  • Uphold the organisation’s values and ensure Ofsted standards for supported accommodation are met.
  • Optimise occupancy and meet budgetary targets, while managing rent collection processes.
  • Handle housing management tasks, including licence agreements and eviction processes.
  • Recruit and manage accommodation staff, ensuring their training and development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing complex teams.
  • Understanding of Ofsted Supported Accommodation Standards.
  • Experience with Looked After Children, Care Leavers, and young people with housing needs.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Excel for reporting.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Support, Restorative Approach, and Skills-Based Approach.
  • Ability to create high-quality risk assessments and support plans.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hostel work, residential work, housing management, or a related caring profession.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Commitment to obtaining formal qualifications relevant to the role.
  • Ability to work flexibly and under pressure, with a high level of honesty, integrity, and discretion.
