Software Researcher - Remote Working - UK Masters / PhD Mathematics or Computing - technical skillset to include Compilers / Embedded / Cryptography / Algorithms / Blockchain - Financial Security Applications.

A Software Researcher with a Masters Degree and/or PhD in Mathematics or Computing will join an innovative start-up combining high-end security, blockchain and program analysis research. You’ll undertake Security Research as part of a team of experts in Compilers, Cryptography, Mathematics and Finance, bringing an appreciation of real-world attacker mentality in order to reduce risk and fortify code.

To fit with this top class team you should bring the following:

  • Masters Degree / PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computing gained from a top tier UK University.
  • Knowledge of Embedded, Compilers, Cryptography, Blockchain and/or Algorithms.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming language ( ideally to include C++ and Python).
  • Experience with low level software either as an engineer or security researcher.
  • Solid understanding of mathematical models particularly for financial instruments.
  • A background in or a regular user of programming language theory.

What you will be involved with:

  • Reviewing complex, high assurance smart contract code.
  • Applying your engineering skills to build custom tools to rapidly assess, explore or secure the code.
  • Advising clients to make informed decisions about risk to their systems; using your expertise to help solve hard security problems.
