Are you experienced in CDM , H&S  and looking for a new role? Do you have experience of H&S and CDM processes in fit-out and refurbishment schemes? Are you confident in delivering the H&S and CDM elements on projects while working closely with Designers and Surveyors on technical , building regs and Principal Designer commitments.

Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for an Assistant Principal Designer by a well-established and growing multi-disciplined practice offering architectural, project management and building surveying services. As the ideal candidate you will have experience H&S and CDM processes on refurbishment, fit out or general construction schemes. 

Duties to include:

Pre contract:

  • Project Set Up and information assimilation request formal appointments. Pre check all client appointments ie Designers are in place.
  • Obtain and review capability and suitability information from design team
  • Advise all parties on duties and obligations under CDM
  • In conjunction with the Architectural Technicians , Design Manager or Building surveyor collate info and plan checks Pre Building Regs submission.
  • Coordinate with specialist consultants and designers as to any shortfalls in design
  • Review Design Risk Assessments from specialist designers and collate and produce Design Risk Register
  • Collate available pre-construction information,
  • Issue pre-construction information pack (PCI Pack).
  • Ongoing consultation with all parties including DTM meetings.
  • Attending Design team meetings


Post Contract:

  • Update project log for Building Control requests and sign off
  • Monitor works carry out on-site HS audits
  • Collate HS File
