A reputable law firm in Canterbury are looking to recruit a BDM with experience in pitching, marketing campaigns, leadership, and key account management. You'll collaborate closely with the Managing Partner, Partners, CRM Manager, and Marketing Manager to navigate strategic challenges and develop opportunities for the firm's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing and business development plan to engage both current and prospective clients, fostering relationships and identifying avenues for expansion.
  • Conduct thorough research to grasp the needs and structures of potential clients, tailoring the approach accordingly.
  • Lead projects from inception to successful completion, adhering to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Act as a representative of the firm, effectively managing associated activities and promoting the brand.
  • Develop compelling credentials and pitches, advising partners on bid strategies and identifying avenues to secure new business.
  • Curate sector-specific content, campaigns, and events to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Organise and participate in marketing events, measuring their impact and success.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to maintain the firms online presence across web and social media platforms.
  • Assist in budget planning and monitoring, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
  • Oversee third-party interactions with marketing service providers in due course.

About You

  • Previous experience in legal or professional services settings.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Proficiency in devising effective strategies to drive business objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior management, aligning objectives and fostering consensus.
  • Aptitude for leveraging digital tools to engage targeted audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project.
