Job Title: KS3 & KS4 General Cover Supervisor
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Contract: Full Time, Long Term
Start Date: September 2024
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). This is a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment. Your Role:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and resources according to the teacher's instructions.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using appropriate strategies to maintain discipline and encourage engagement.
- Provide support and guidance to students, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during lessons.
- Keep accurate records of attendance and any significant incidents during class time.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and senior leadership to uphold the school's policies and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. (Or willing to obtain one)
- Experience working with Key Stage 3/4 students is desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and behaviour management skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with different classes and subjects.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education would be advantageous
- Right to work in UK
