Catering Manager Required for School in Canterbury

At Engage Education Services, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff for over a decade. We’re currently looking for an experienced Catering Manager to work full time at a fantastic school in Canterbury.

Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality staff to work with these schools.

About the role:

Our catering manager duties can include:

  • Planning meals within nutritional and dietary guidelines, including portion control.

  • Ensuring meals are cooked and served in a timely manner following safe food hygiene standards.

  • Providing well balanced meals at designated times providing adequate choice.

  • Directing the day to day work of the kitchen team and providing supervision sessions to ensure the function performs to appropriate high standards.

  • Ensuring expenditure is kept within authorised budget limits by completing weekly financial returns, stock sheets, periodic stocktaking, timesheets for staff, etc. to ensure KCC’s policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Ensuring correct Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures are adhered to.

  • Training new kitchen staff.

  • Attending training courses as required and assisting in the training of other catering staff as directed.
