At Engage Education Services, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff for over a decade. We’re currently looking for an experienced Catering Manager to work full time at a fantastic school in Canterbury.
Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality staff to work with these schools.
About the role:Our catering manager duties can include:

Planning meals within nutritional and dietary guidelines, including portion control.

Ensuring meals are cooked and served in a timely manner following safe food hygiene standards.

Providing well balanced meals at designated times providing adequate choice.

Directing the day to day work of the kitchen team and providing supervision sessions to ensure the function performs to appropriate high standards.

Ensuring expenditure is kept within authorised budget limits by completing weekly financial returns, stock sheets, periodic stocktaking, timesheets for staff, etc. to ensure KCC’s policies and procedures are adhered to.

Ensuring correct Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures are adhered to.

Training new kitchen staff.

Attending training courses as required and assisting in the training of other catering staff as directed.
