Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with BESD, assisting them in overcoming behavioural challenges and achieving academic success.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions to promote positive outcomes for students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in supporting students with BESD.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing behavioural challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and school environments.
Desirable:
- Experience working in both Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings and mainstream settings.
