Reed is partnering with a Pupil Referral Unit currently expanding its provision to include Key Stage 3 and is looking for a team of Teaching Assistants to support an additional 90 learners. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a school that provides education and wellbeing for learners with challenging behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Support learners across a range of areas of learning experiences, following a model similar to a primary school.
  • Work as part of a team to provide teaching and learning opportunities tailored to individual learners.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to trauma-informed approaches and the overall care, support, and guidance of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with learners who have behavioural, social, and mental health problems.
  • Empathy and the ability to understand pupils’ difficulties.
  • Energy, commitment, and enthusiasm to make a positive impact on the school and young people.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council is required.
  • Subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
  • Fluency in Welsh is advantageous but not essential.
