Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Vale, Wales
Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 with flexibility required (including daytime and evenings)
Salary:
  • Regular: £25.00 per hour
  • Additional Shift Rates:
    • Mon - Fri 22:00-06:00: £33.25
    • Saturday 06:00-22:00: £31.25
    • Saturday 22:00-06:00: £37.50
    • Sunday/Statutory Holidays 06:00-22:00: £37.50
    • Sunday/Statutory Holidays 22:00-06:00: £43.75
Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team and undertake Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for Council properties within the Vale. In addition, the role involves installing heat and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors to ensure compliance with housing requirements. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly across daytime and evenings to meet the needs of the role.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for Council properties within the Vale.
  • Install heat and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors to ensure compliance with housing requirements.
  • Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks.
Requirements:
  • Full and clean Driving Licence, including the PCV element.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in conducting EICRs and electrical installations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across daytime and evening shifts as required.
