With Operations across the globe and with an ever expanding customer base, this prestigious manufacturer are planning the next part of their recruitment push in the Maintenance team. Following their recent investment they are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their well-established maintenance team, The company has multiple sites within the organisation and offers brilliant stability as well as internal and external training courses on specific manufacturing equipment together with a realistic chance to develop within the team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Repair, adjust, and maintain production equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications.
  • Fault finding and maintenance support on a range of Mechanical equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance schedules, ensuring chocks availability, including stripping and building chocks on rolls minimizing disruptions to manufacturing processes.
  • Prompt and effective fault finding and resolution of mechanical problems/breakdowns.
  • Implement an established maintenance programme and maintain detailed maintenance records so that recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts can be identified and addressed.
  • Set, calibrate, or adjust equipment, machinery, and instruments so that it complies with production specifications or instructions.
  • Maintain tools and repair equipment in good working order.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure that resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
  • Work with technical drawings.
  • Day-to-day liaising with Production and Engineering, suppliers and other departments

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Mechanical Fitter experience in a manufacturing environment would be desirable.
  • Experience in the maintenance of bearings
  • Fault finding experience
  • Mechanical qualification would be desirable - NVQ / BTEC Level.
  • Proactive attitude.
