Inclusive Consulting is delighted to be partnering with our financial services client in Cardiff during their search for a confident and supportive Client Account Manager to join their team.

In this role, you would lead a team of 6 as they reconcile a variety of accounts and provide claims information to insurance clients, while taking a more direct hand in complex matters. You will provide support and motivation, and will lead on the professional development of your team.

Reporting to the Head of Client Accounts, you would have personal responsibility for escalating and resolving concerns with Client Accounts systems, and would work to smoothen processes wherever possible.

This role would suit an organised individual with demonstrable management skills and experience in a financial position. You will need to have excellent communication skills as this collaborative role will see you liaising with clients and customers, and building relationships with individuals across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform verification and reconciliation of accounts
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Assist with all queries in relation to the client account department
  • Spearhead the professional development of those in your team
  • Maintain regular contact with internal and external customers
  • Ensure all reconciliations are completed in accordance with all guidance and industry standards
  • Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation, and audit trails of activity
  • Monitor and control output from the reconciliation process generated to ensure accurate and timely resolution of exceptions
  • Regularly review processes and recommend any improvements
  • Handle day-to-day client queries and issues
  • Ensure the smooth running of client trust accounts

Key Attributes
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A working knowledge of banking procedures
  • The ability to identify priorities and organize workloads to meet deadlines
  • Flexibile and adaptable working style
  • The ability to train and motivate a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to identify issues and use initiative to solve problems
  • Able to handle confidential information sensitively and with care
