Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – your ticket to the world of teaching greatness.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons to pupils of all abilities.
  • To be responsible for celebrating achievement in Physical Education.
  • To monitor and evaluate Learning and Teaching, Homework and Marking/Assessments of the Sport Coach, and support where appropriate.
  • Assess pupils' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their individual development.
  • Create a positive and safe learning environment that promotes physical activity, teamwork, and fair play.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and competitions.
  • Stay updated with current trends, research, and best practices in physical education.
  • To be a First Aider (training will be available).
  • To be a minibus Driver with a PSV License (training will be available)

As an experienced History teacher and Historian with over 12 years’ experience working in secondary education, Karen can always be relied upon to deliver her lessons with an infectious passion and enthusiasm.

 

Karen is currently seeking a long-term role as a History teacher following a long-term role at Ffynone House School. Prior to this, Karen worked for several years at Andalusia Academy in Bristol, where she rose to the role of Assistant Headteacher, and also has experience in teaching Geography and RE at Key Stages 3 & 4, in addition to covering KS3 English lessons.

 

With the personal pride taken in her ability to plan, deliver and assess sessions that facilitate understanding in an interesting and thought-provoking way, Karen would be an asset to any school humanities team.
